Why We Still Need Coffee Houses
Long before coffee became part of our daily routine, the coffee house was a place where people gathered, exchanged ideas and found a sense of belonging.

Scandinavian-inspired. Born in Britain.
Long before coffee became part of our daily routine, the coffee house was a place where people gathered, exchanged ideas and found a sense of belonging.
Today, coffee is everywhere, yet the experience often feels rushed. We order, collect and move on. The ritual remains, but the pause has become increasingly rare.
Perhaps that's why coffee houses matter more than ever.
In a world that rarely slows down, people are searching for places where they can think, work, connect or simply enjoy a quiet moment. The modern coffee house has the opportunity to become that place again—not by being faster, but by being more thoughtful.
That belief is the foundation of TOVE.

Inspired by Scandinavian values of simplicity, craftsmanship and warmth, and proudly born in Britain, we've created a coffee house where every detail has purpose. From beautifully crafted specialty coffee and ceremonial matcha to thoughtful design and genuine hospitality, everything is intended to make people feel welcome.
Our name, TOVE, means "beautiful" and "beloved" in Scandinavian. To us, beauty is found in thoughtful craftsmanship, while becoming beloved is earned through consistency, kindness and care.
We chose Leicester as our first home because we believe great hospitality isn't defined by a postcode. It begins wherever people are passionate about creating meaningful experiences and strong communities.
As TOVE grows, one belief will remain unchanged: coffee has never been just a drink.
It's a reason to pause.
A reason to connect.
A reason to belong.
That's the coffee house we're building.
One beautifully crafted experience at a time.
